April is a certified birth and postpartum doula through Doula Training International. She is also Gina Kirby Rebozo trained and a Spinning Babies enthusiast. After the birth of her first child, she began to feel the calling of doula work. She feels honored to witness women make informed decisions and become active participants in their care. Before becoming a mother, she was a school teacher and a researcher at heart and loves to learn about all things pregnancy and birth. In addition to doula work, she offers childbirth classes, placenta encapsulation, and cloth diaper classes. As a mom and doula, she recognizes how important this time in your families life is and would love the honor to support you through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
NaConda Frank
Birth Doula, Lactation Educator, Childbirth Educator
NaConda is a local doula and owner of Nikkahndah Birth Services. She is married to her high school sweetheart of 19 years and they reside with their five children & one dog in Brazoria County. She has been a DONA trained Birth Doula since 2021, and is also a Community Lactation Educator, and a Childbirth Educator.
Her spirit of servitude helps her show up for expecting moms and their families in ways she knew she needed during her pregnancies, and even more so for families in minority communities. NaConda has a big heart for women and children that she believes runs deep in her DNA because birth workers are on both sides of her family tree!
Shannon Koelemay
Postpartum Doula
Shannon is a postpartum doula helping mothers adjust to life with a new baby! She strives to bring a sense of calm and compassion when disorder is all around.
When she’s not helping newly postpartum moms, you can find her reading, snuggling her cat, baking, or drinking a dirty chai.

Massage Therapist
Kerri is a licensed massage therapist who has a heart for moms and babies. She has a passion for helping your body heal naturally and is excited to bring prenatal massage to Above the Waves families.
